Nine working days to go and thoughts idly turn to Life After Teaching. Conversations with colleagues in recent days leave me wondering exactly what skills I might be taking with me into the Real World. Realise that, in terms of knowledge of and skills in any specialist area, there is rather terrifying void. Reminded of Diary entry written back in September of 2019 when I argued with myself (regrettably accept only self reads diary) for more opportunities for subject specialist CPD. Still feel strongly that this is an Important Area To Explore. Just not strongly enough to remain in the teaching profession.
